ICYMI – Transgender Toolbox video

March 8, 2022 by NWRNA

NWRNA members are invited to watch the video of our recent workshop, “Transgender Toolbox: Basic Tools to Provide Optimal Care.”

This video is free for NWRNA members.

This presentation by Cory Grandinetti, MA, OTR/L, enables clinicians with tools that can be implemented directly into care across the continuum. By achieving a greater competency in transgender health topics, participants are empowered to advocate for the unique needs of transgender patients that may impact their health outcomes.

Here are what nurses who attended this workshop had to say:

  • “Wish I had learned this years ago.”
  • “First real education on transgender needs and concerns. Feel better prepared to help respectfully.”
  • “I learned so many things but mostly the communication pieces. I’m so glad that I made time for this.”

In addition to the video, by registering you will have access to a substantial list of resources to help you in your work with transgender patients and their families.

Register today and watch at your leisure. By completing the evaluation afterward, you will receive a certificate of completion for 2.5 hours that meets the continuing competency requirement for license renewal in Washington State.
