Are those ANA, WSNA, and other nursing journals just piling up on the desk?

Did you know that the latest publication for The Future of Nursing-2020-2030 outlines some fairly major changes in our practice, including a revamp of how you might get paid? What will nursing look like in the years to come?
Here is a list of some resources for you as you navigate the brave new world of nursing.
NAM’s Consensus Study: The Future of Nursing 2020–2030 Charting a Path to Achieve Health Equity is a great summary.
New revised edition of the Nursing Scope of Practice. “Scope of practice describes the services that a qualified health professional is deemed competent to perform, and permitted to undertake in keeping with the terms of their professional license. The Nursing Scope and Standards of Practice describe the who, what, where, when, why, and how of nursing practice: When each of these questions is answered, the complex considerations in scope of practice become clear. In a profession as dynamic as nursing, and with evolving healthcare demands, changes in scope of practice and overlapping responsibilities are inevitable in our current and future health care system.”
ANA Code of Ethics. In the field of nursing, the ANA Code of Ethics is designed to provide specific bylaws that will influence the practices of health care professionals inside the industry. However, there are different advocacy campaigns that will have an impact on how it is interpreted and applied.
I hope these resources open up opportunities for advancing your own practice.
