Ryan has worked as a critical care nurse for the past 6.5 years in ICU, ER, and PACU. Ryan is a Washingtonian who grew up in Puyallup, WA. His family’s beekeeping business inspired him to pursue a career in healthcare providing healthcare to everyone. His goal is to work as a Nurse Practitioner to provide care to diverse and underserved populations.
“I made the decision to pursue a career as a family nurse practitioner because I have taken care of patients in the hospital who were so incredibly sick and wanted to partner with patients to pursue optimal wellness and prevent acute exacerbations of their illnesses. I want to help patients stay well.”
Ryan added, “My favorite topic of study has been pediatrics. Kids are incredibly resilient. If old enough to communicate, they tell you if they hurt or if they don’t feel well. Those not old enough to communicate come to clinic with their loved one who are able to tell you exactly what’s wrong; we help them to translate their findings into a diagnosis and plan for treatment. Also, I enjoy handing out popsicles!”
